Artist FAQ

Arts Annex Fresno

What is Arts Annex Fresno?

Arts Annex Fresno is an artist-focused gallery and creative space located in the heart of Fresno’s Tower District. We provide affordable display space for local artists in a collaborative environment where artists sell their own work directly to the public.

What does “presenting artist” mean?

A presenting artist rents wall or display space within the gallery and actively participates in the life of the Annex. Artists display and sell their work, interact with visitors, and help create a welcoming, professional gallery experience.

How do I apply?

Complete the Artist Interest/Inquiry form on our website. We’ll follow up to discuss availability, space options.

Is there a commission on sales?

No. Artists keep 100% of their sales.

Each artist handles their own transactions (Venmo, Square, cash, etc.), giving you full control over pricing and payment methods.

Can customers pay with cash, check or credit card?

Arts Annex does not accept any payments for artist’s work. All artists use digital sales requiring an app like Venmo or another digital sales app. All sales are made on a smart phone, scanning a QR code. That’s the way you pay.

If you would like to negotiate a price for an artists work, we can connect you directly with the artist.

Do artists pay rent?

Yes. Presenting artists rent wall or display space at competitive monthly rates. Pricing depends on the size and type of space. Details are shared during the inquiry process.

Do I need to staff the gallery?

Yes. Arts Annex is a collaborative gallery. Artists contribute a small number of gallery sitting hours each month (typically 4–6 hours depending on the number of participating artists). This keeps costs low and builds community.

  • Painting

  • Photography
